YORKSHIRE DALES CROSS COUNTRY SKI CLUB INVITE YOU TO JOIN US ON A
SPRING BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND 26th –28th MAY
For the past year YDCCSC has been exploring the Yorkshire Wolds (an area of chalk downland in East Yorkshire) on roller skis and are now planning a three-day tour from one end to the other. We hope that anyone who is interested will be able to join us for all, or part of the route. Starting point – Welton, west of Hull Finishing point – The Lighthouse, Flamborough Head Full route – Welton, Riplingham, High Hunsley, Bishop Burton, Cherry Burton, Etton, South Dalton, Middleton on the Wolds, North Dalton, Huggate, Wetwang, Sledmere, Helperthorpe, Weaverthorpe, Butterwick, Wold Newton, Burton Fleming, Grindale, Buckton, Bempton, Flamborough 1st Day – Welton to Middleton – 21 miles 2nd Day – Middleton to Wold Newton – 23 miles 3rd Day – Wold Newton to Flamborough Head – 13 miles Route description – Minor country lanes, pretty villages, some up and down (slow rollers best, not for beginners) Transport – Using cars for start and finish of each day.
